ERIC SINGER
HOMETOWN: Tarzana, CA. Starting to feel pretty loc’d out in SB though.
YEARS SKATEBOARDING: Since about 2007
STANCE: Power Stance
WHO ELSE HELPS YOU OUT: Aside from the arbor collective, I’ve received tons of help from Venom Urethane Products/ Zak Maytum, Arbor Santa Barbara/ Andrew Jacobson, and Paris Truck Co.
WHAT’S IN YOUR QUIVER: I typically keep three boards in my active quiver: a park board, an all around board, and a downhill board. Right now that means a Whiskey 8.0, a Shakedown 39, and a Prodigy.
PREFERRED STYLE OF SKATEBOARDING: Soul carving/ wiggle boarding/ shralping. Goin’ fast and getting sideways, be it on a hill, on coping, or through a pocket.
WHAT’S YOUR LOCAL ZONE: The Santa Barbara mountains.
WORST HABIT: Smoking tons of weed on the reg. (I don’t have a g-rated response to this one. Sorry…)
BIGGEST PET PEEVE: A rude attitude.
WORST ACCIDENT: Probably a dislocated shoulder. Tendons don’t heal as well as bones…
BEST PART OF SKATING: The feeling after landing that trick that you have been working on for days.
LAMEST PART: Being frequently broke and broken. Comes with the territory…
BEST EVENT: Maryhill Freeride, Giant’s Head Freeride
FAVORITE VIDEO: Max Myers Butt Smash (search Vimeo]
ONE THING EVERY SKATER SHOULD KNOW: Keep skateboarding lame!
