Please describe your style of surfing: People say I have a soulful approach, very smooth and flowing. I love carving big open faces. I think my snowboarding background influenced my surfing a lot.
Where is your favorite place to surf? My favorite wave by far is the “Gueen of the Coast,” Rincon! But, I also love Blacks and Lowers. They are more consistent and closer to home. Other than Cali, I scored Cloud Break in Tavarua and I make an annual trip to Hawaii to make sure I get out of my wetsuit!
Do you snowboard? Yup, ever year since I quit skiing around 12-years-old. My family had a place in Telluride. I’m a snow bunny until I start to miss the beach.
If you could pick four people to go surf with, who would they be and where would you go?
Tom Curren, Margo Oberg, Lisa Anderson, and Stephanie Gilmore and we would get a boat and sail to as many amazing breaks around the world as possible until we all got sick of each other!
What is the worst lie you ever told your mom? I don’t lie to my mom…she’s like my best friend.
What is the worst lie she ever told you? Santa Claus was coming.
Mac or PC? Mac for sure!
Would you rather be smart and ugly or dumb and beautiful? Smart of course but can’t you have it all?
What is your worst habit? Swearing like truck driver.
Describe your perfect day of skateboarding: Skate the beach for a surf, then skate to lunch with a posse of rad chicks. Surf again and then gather the crew for a sunset down hill rally before a bonfire and beers in the backyard.
