Arbor Bamboo Series Skateboards

Arbor is proud to introduce their Bamboo Series Skateboards including the Timeless, Fish and Axis featuring the “organic” artwork of Nanami Cowdroy. Bamboo is incredibly strong, yet flexible and easy to shape. By adding bamboo as a deck-side power ply, we create a hybrid maple construction that has a clean Zen flavor, nice return, and long lasting durability.

The Timeless Bamboo is a pintail offers a smooth open-stance ride, a wide concave platform, and a long wheelbase for incredible stability, making it ideal for carving the slopes with maximum style.

The Fish Bamboo is a compact pin features an extended wheelbase and a time-honored teardrop shape.  This board’s medium flex allows it to excel as both a cruiser and urban carver.

The Axis Bamboo
is an all-wood drop-through cruiser. A symmetrical snowboard inspired waist and camber give you snappy rail-to-rail performance and the drop-through truck mounting gets you lower to the ground to power through turns and slides.

Why Bamboo? As mankind’s most sustainable building material, the choice to utilize bamboo in Arbor Skateboards was easy. Bamboo is one of the “greenest” and most renewable materials available for many reasons. Bamboo produces more oxygen than most other tree varieties, it matures in 3-5 years as opposed to 30-50 with hardwoods, and because of its durability no pesticides or chemicals are required to encourage the maturation of the material, and lastly, bamboo decomposes into a 100% reusable and nutrient rich composted soil.

About Artist Nanami Cowdroy
Born in Sydney, Nanami Cowdroy’s artistic roots reflect both her native Australian and mixed Japanese-European heritage. Nanami’s blend of complex characters and highly detailed objects create a juxtaposition of the foreign and familiar. Her subjects are organic, yet exude a strength and depth; the perfect combination for our bamboo designs.
