Arbor Eco Update: Made in USA

Arbor is currently producing 75% of its environmentally responsible apparel right here in the USA. We are proud to make our T-shirts, Hats and a portion of our knits in Los Angeles, California. In addition to using eco friendly materials by producing our apparel in the United States we help reduce the environmental impact of shipping product from overseas and by manufacturing locally, in LA near our headquarters in Venice, we further reduce the emissions and oil consumption created by trucking product from factories far away.

Arbor Eco Update: Sustainable & Reclaimed Wood

All of the wood material used in Arbor’s skateboard designs, including the maple plies and veneer deck, come from sustainable sources of supply.  All of the wood byproduct created during the production of our skateboards is reclaimed for use by outside companies or in other Arbor products like belt buckles, hang tags, and zipper pulls.  This allows Arbor to stretch an important resource, while helping to reduce the strain on landfills and forests.

Arbor ECO Update

Arbor Apparel is always made using sustainable materials. One of our more popular fabrications has been Bamboo viscose, but what makes it such a great eco fabric and comfortable to wear? Bamboo viscose is a reconstituted cellulose fiber made from bamboo timber, which is today’s most renewable, sustainably grown raw material. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant known to man and is self-regenerating. In addition it requires zero pesticides or chemical fertilizers to grow and requires only natural rainfall. Bamboo viscose fabrics are incredibly soft and provide amazing performance benefits to compliment it’s many eco benefits.  To learn more check out the Foundation Room.

Arbor ECO Update

Did you know that Arbor takes the scrap wood from our skateboard and snowboard production and reuses it in apparel hangtags? Just one of many ways that Arbor tries to be environmentally responsible. Waste Not.
