Arbor Snowboards is proud to announce the return of the FACE/OFF amateur and open rail competition at Trollhaugen Mountain in Wisconsin on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Arbor team riders, Sean Black and Austin Young will be at the event to ride with competitors and judge the event. “This is our fifth rollout of the FACE/OFF event that seems to be gaining momentum. This year we are very happy to announce a series of FACE/OFF events across the country with $1000 cash on the line at each competition,” says Arbor’s marketing advisor, Brad Farmer.
This year, Arbor has expanded the FACE/OFF to a series that includes the following dates and locations:
• FACE/OFF Seven Springs, Pennsylvania: Saturday, February 16, 2013
• FACE/OFF Cranmore, New Hampshire: Saturday, March 6, 2013
• FACE/OFF Trollhaugen, Wisconsin: Saturday, March 16, 2013
• FACE/OFF Boreal, California: Saturday, April 6, 2013
The FACE/OFF will include a 60 minute jam qualifier round for which up to 100 competitors of any age, sex and ability may enter. There will be awards and huge prize packs for the top three females, males ages 16 and under and males 17 and over. Fifteen of the top open class riders will be selected to advance to a final round in which the riders will FACE/OFF in games of SNO until the last man is standing. The top three will score prize packs with third place snagging $100, second grabbing $300 and first will take away $600. “The format for this event has wildly exceeded our expectations and created a very exciting competition. Once it gets down to the final 16 riders, the event becomes intense as competitors battle it out for the victory. In the end, there is no question about who won the event.”
The Trollhaugen FACE/OFF is proudly sponsored by Arbor Snowboards, Flux Bindings, Trollhaugen Mountain, Contour, Grenade, Wend Wax and Dragon.
