Venice, CA – February 17, 2104 – Arbor Skateboards is very proud to announce that Liam Morgan, Alicia Fillback, Ed Garner, and Tomio Choy will be joining the Company’s already solid skate team. The Arbor Skateboards’ team is growing into one of the best, most recognized lineups in downhill. Led by team Captain and top IDF contender James Kelly,
Vancouver, Washington. Not BC, not DC.
Pushing around since 2008, actually trying to learn stuff since 2010.
WHAT’S IN YOUR QUIVER:
Arbor Backlash for slaying hills and one of those small regular skateboards for hitting the parks. 44 Calibers for the former, and Caliber standards for the latter. Venom wheels are creamy on the hills.
PREFERRED STYLE OF SKATEBOARDING:
Shredding hills… preferably with corners, preferably standup.
WHAT’S YOUR LOCAL ZONE:
Portland, Oregon! But I just moved down to southern Oregon, so Medford and Ashland will be the lurk spot for a while.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE:
Cigarettes… and being stuck next to somebody smoking them.
Smashing my face and everything else into the pavement trying to bomb hills on my second to last day of high school… I don’t remember my last couple weeks of school very well, and my graduation pictures were gnarly.
BEST PART OF SKATING:
Traveling with friends, seeing new places, challenging yourself physically and mentally, learning new things… there are many best parts.
Getting wrecked because of stupid accidents or situations.
Giant’s Head, Cathlamet, SLAP, and anything BOOMTOWN.
Can’t pick just one, so here’s a few: Max Dubler’s Raw Run II, The House Vid, Elissa Steamer’s Paradise part, Brandon Tissen’s Video… and more that I can’t think of.
ONE THING EVERY SKATER SHOULD KNOW:
Casey’s constant advice to ‘bend your knees’ is always valid.
