Woodward West is closed for the season and you get invited to come skate it all to yourself. What would you do? We’ll tell you what the Whiskey Team did – bum rushed the place and skated the hell out of it.
The Whiskey Team took a road trip up the 395 Highway, making stops at the Lone Pine Skate Park, Mammoth Skate Park, and a few secret spots along the way. Here’s the highlights of what they got into while they were on the road. Enjoy some quality Skateboarding from Alec Beck, Olan Prenatt, Sam Baker, Tyler Davis, and Cameron Revier.
The Arbor Whiskey Team had a great weekend in Mammoth at the Volcom Brother’s Skate Park Contest, held by Wave Rave Snowboard Shop. In the Men’s Open Street Division, it was Cameron Revier who took the win with consistent runs and clean tricks, and Tyler Davis placing second with his mix of unique tricks and creative lines around the street course.
Introducing Arbor’s new Whiskey Skate Team and the Project they’ve built to highlight the level of skating coming out of Venice today.
Living in the cracks behind the hype of today’s Venice, there is still a kid who started with nothing and has given everything to a life built on skating. Pushing past the hordes of tourists, the transplanted wealth, the performers, the hipsters, the valet class – past the muck, the grime, and the grease – you’ll find a core layer of youth, skating hard on and off the grid.
