To celebrate another successful winter and 20 years of Arbor, we arranged for a team surf trip to a non-disclosed location to surf (and get pummeled by) uncrowded waves, kick back some cold ones, and reminisce over stories from the winter months.
The Holy Bowly took place last week in Mammoth and the course was all time! Check out some of the video recaps of the event featuring Arbor Team Riders Erik Leon, Emil Ulsletten and Mike Gray.
The Sin Nombré is a twin–tip, Camber System design for cross-terrain performance. The throw–back “dagger” shape and reinforced lay–up give this board the muscle needed for technical on-mountain freestyle riding, both in and out–of–bounds. Erik Leon is filming for Bode Merril’s new project, Reckless Abandon which releases Fall 2016. The teaser is insane. Check it out now for some of the more progressive riding caught on film this season.
On February 9th, 2015, Massachusetts declared a state of emergency due to massive amounts of snow blanketing the city and putting a halt to everyday life. On February 10th, the Arbor Snowboards team booked plane tickets Boston.
A handful of Arbor riders converged on an insane setup for Big Bear Mountain’s annual pre-season rail jam, Hot Dawgs and Handrails. Erik Leon, Jake Schaible, Jon McDonald, Mike Liddle, and Buzz Hollbrook all showed up and threw down on a cross court setup littered with gaps, rails, rocks and even a small body of water.
Thats a wrap for the 2015 Snowboard on The Block Festival! Team riders Erik Leon and Scotty Vine slayed the chopped ice in the rail jam, we enjoyed some of the finest snowboard films of the year, gave away a ton of free swag and threw back a couple cool ones in the process.
A big round of applause goes out to Erik Leon for taking home 2nd place and the Best Grab award at the #MMQPI, aka the Merril Mini Quarter Pipe Invitational! Awesome to see this kid getting the recognition he deserves.

This kid knows how to snowboard, and that’s an empirical fact! There’s only one person that snowboards like Erik, and that’s Erik. Also a fact. After growing up riding Bear Mountain, CA, Erik made the move to Truckee, CA where he currently resides and works as a barista. Whether it be powder, slush, bumps, rails, half pipe, or pine needles, Erik rides it all with unique style and originality that few possess.
